Stephanie Angelo's expertise is guiding business through a process that translates domestic abuse to determine the financial impact on organizations.  Her firm, Human Resource Essential, LLC, provides valuable step-by-step program and facilitation services that save US companies $7.9M in lost workdays alone each year. 

As a multiple award-winning expert in intimate partner violence's effects on the workplace, Stephanie ensures clients receive practical ideas and skills which immediately inspire them, increase their ability to address this workplace issue, and ensure state and federal compliance.  The result is clients report decreased turnover, reductions in workplace incidents, noticeable changes in affected individuals, and positive changes in corporate culture. 

Stephanie presents on a national level to organizations and conferences, primarily to Executives and Human Resource professionals. Previous conferences include Colorado Association for Victims Assistance, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) {several states}, ASIS, Employee Assistance Providers  Association; and several state Domestic Violence coalitions. 

Stephanie has written, or been interviewed for, numerous articles, such as the ArizonaRepublic and Phoenix Business Journal and has been interviewed several times on every major news channel in Phoenix.  Her book Bringing the Darkness into the Light provides stories of survival along with vital resources and safety information.  She is the co-author of the true crime memoir, Serrated – A True Story of Survival, Recovery and the Pursuit of Justice.

Human Resource Essential is listed on the Futures Without Violence (formerly Family Violence Prevention Fund) web site as a National Workplace Resource.  She has received Arizona Peace Officers Standards Training board (AZPOST) certification.  In addition, Stephanie was the Senior Advisor, Intimate Partner Violence Organizational Impact and Training for the Center for Personal Protection and Safety, and currently is facilitates Threat Management Team trainer for Gene Rugala and Associates, and a Threat of Violence Consultant for Crisis Management Int'l.  Stephanie currently serves on the Avon Program for Women and Justice Domestic Violence Advisory Committee Meeting.

Stephanie is a professional member of the National Speakers Association (NSA). She is a member of Society for Human Resource Management. In 2008 and 2009 she was nominated for the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence's (AZCADV) "Courage of Conviction" award.  In both 2008 and 2009 she received the Best of Tempe Award in the Lecture & Seminar Bureaus category by the U.S. Local Business Association.  She was awarded the AZCADV 2010 Desert Sunflower award for Allies. Human Resource Essential, LLC was named a Finalist in the Best Entrepreneur – Service Businesses - Up to 100 Employees category for the 2011 Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
