Jeanne Martinson Madiversity and leadership wisdom for a complex world
Birthday: Jul 5th Jeanne Martinson is a diversity strategist and best-selling author. Her goal is to assist leaders in understanding diversity issues so they can attract, retain and engage their ideal workforce.
Jeanne is the founding President of Saskatchewan CAPS chapter. As a leader in the community, Jeanne has been recognized with the Canada 125 Medal, the YWCA Woman of Distinction Award, the Saskatchewan Centennial Leadership Award, the Athena Award, and most recently, the Canadian Diversity “EMCY” award.
"War and Peace in the Workplace" is Jeanne’s third book. It explains why we have conflict with others based on their diversity – whether it is small ‘d’ diversity such as values, marital and family perspectives, thought processes – or big “D” diversity issues such as race, age, gender and ability. This book was short-listed for the 2006 Saskatchewan Book Awards in the category of Education. Jeanne’s third book, based on her graduate research comparing corporate and criminal leaders is called “Gangster Boss” and will be released February 2012.
