Hayat Alvi
Dr. Hayat Alvi is an Associate Professor in the National Security Affairs Department at the US Naval War College. She has been the Director of International Studies at Arcadia University, and taught political science at the American University in Cairo, Egypt, for four years. Her specializations include International Relations, Security and Strategic Studies, Middle East & South Asian Studies, and Islamic Studies.
Dr. Alvi is an Editorial Board member for the Journal of Defense Management, and the co-editor of Case Studies in Policy Making, 12th Edition, with Nikolas Gvosdev (2010), for which she has written case studies about closing Guantanamo, Iran’s nuclear program, and the Ottawa Treaty to ban landmines.
