About Dr. Kathleen P. King

Kathy is a popular international keynote speaker, professor of education at University of South Florida's College of Education in Tampa, Florida and president of Transformation Education, LLC. She also serves clients as a certified professional life coach. Her major areas of research include distance learning, digital media, transformative learning, professional development, and instructional technology.

Dr. King is an award-winning author of 17 books and over 165 published articles and research papers. Her books and web-based audio materials are used as course materials in universities worldwide and have a large following. She has led the development of many local and global innovative educational projects reaching over 6.4 million learners through technology. Prior to her position at USF she was a professor and university administrator at Fordham University in New York City (13 years) and at Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (6 years). Dr. King has an EdD and MEd in Higher & Adult Education from Widener University, an MA in Theology, and a BA from Brown University. Providence, RI.

King is widely requested as a national and international speaker. In 2008-2009 alone, she spoke in Canada, Mexico and China as well as all across the USA as her message of empowerment, motivation, and innovation in professional learning is being sought. The message of her work is embedded in the fabric of Dr. Kathy King's life. While working as a professor, speaking, and writing she continues to overcome debilitating spinal illness and surgeries.
