Bas P.m. Westland

Bas P.M. Westland (1964, The Netherlands) is a seasoned professional in HR, Recruitment and General Management and an enterpreneur since 2000. He has studied HRM at Fontys (Netherlands) where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in 1989. He worked in various international HRM roles at multinational companies between 1989 and 1999. In 1999 he switched to commercial recruiting, starting out as a Commercial Manager at Brunel (a publicly listed contracting company). In the year 2000 he started e-people, a recruitment company specialised in ICT and internet recruitment. Since 2007 he's an active speaker and trainer on Social Media and Recruitment Innovation. His company e-people went bust in 2009 and he re-erected it as a network organisation in 3 months. That triggered him to start speaking on his lessons learned in enterpreneurship and to become a member of PSA Holland. Bas lives in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) with his wife and two children.
