Message of thanks, from National President Hannah Samuel
Dear Friends,
You may have seen the devastating effect the most recent earthquake has had on the people of Christchurch and the city. It has been rocked, literally and metaphorically. Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern, and support, directly and indirectly, for friends, family and NSANZ members that may have suffered injury, damage and loss.
Our thoughts, and prayers, are with them and we are working to ascertain all members are safe. I know that many of you have loved visiting the South Island while speaking here in New Zealand and are aware of where Christchurch actually is. Christchurch is our third largest city, home of one of our NSANZ chapters, and this is the second time in 6 months it has been hit by a major earthquake - sadly this time it’s come with loss of life and buildings; it will certainly affect many industries throughout the whole nation.
Clearly, many, if not all, will be adversely affected by the quake in some way and we are working towards ascertaining how best NSANZ can support them as appropriate.
