What Makes a Good Convention Great?

A quick review of the NSA Influence'11 planning and execution

The buzz of satisfaction at the Influence ‘11 Convention in Anaheim started almost immediately.  There were some differences from other conventions I’ve attended, such as fewer keynotes, fewer breakout sessions, longer sessions, master classes and definitely less ‘cheesy hype’ than many I spoke with had expected.  Talking with people in the halls and corridors, the only thing that anyone seemed to feel merited complaint was the lack of internet connection available, and the air conditioning… and that was more a hotel capability than planning committee issue.

The future of the speaking industry means understanding technology

NSA Influence’11 Starts NOW

First think on the agenda for NSA Convention 2011

The halls are busy, there are speakers E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.R.E!  Lots of hugging and hand shaking going on, introductions being made and new friendships formed… and we haven’t even really started yet.  Here at the Marriot Hotel in Anaheim, the National Speakers Association convention is officially starting tomorrow - Saturday - but of course today people are arriving, and the pre-convention programme is underway.
