New GSF Community website: speakers, trainers & coaches across the globe can now share their ideas, opinions..

I am pleased to welcome you to the new Global Speakers Federation (GSF) community website! Speakers, trainers and coaches across the globe can now share their ideas, opinions and experiences in the speaking profession with ease.

GSF distinguishes itself from other (online) speaking communities by the enormous willingness of seasoned speakers to share their experiences, by common ethics and values worldwide, by having traditions reflecting our history, by having well established relations with industry bodies and, at last, by being a real network of real people. It’s our strategy to demonstrate the difference.

The making of this website was a huge project but the result is there. It’s not just a new website; it’s a new chapter in GSF history! Enjoy!

May I add my welcome too. Great job by Erwin and his team. This site will be a great resource for speakers worldwide. I look forward to using this site to document my travels around the world when I take over as GSF President from the splendid Lindsay Adams in a couple of weeks’ time.

New media are both my passion and my topic as a professional speaker. I am excited at the huge leap the GSF website has made towards being more interactive. Congratulations! I like the support for user comments, the Twitter integration, the speaker profiles and much more. Please continue to develop this into a world-class community platform.

Splendid work has been done by your web team, but there is always room for improvement. That’s why I have taken the liberty to make a suggestion. This might help improve the value of the speaker profiles, by sharing them more liberally.

I hope the new GSF website will be a big success!

In the mean time, we have 600+ registered members on this website, most of them Federation members.

We already more than 100 books by speakers in our book store.

The indivdual sponsorship program raised almost 1000 US$ (and the best is yet to come).

Alan Stevens will soon start his presidential blog, which will appear on the home page.

And we’re setting up the ‘Home Page Editing Team’: a team of 60 seasoned speakers, sharing experiences, knowledge and ideas.

We’ll soon remove this launching article from the home page (currently it’s ‘sticky’) and it will be archived like any other article.

Susan Luke-evans: Being part of NSA (originally) and CAPS (currently) and the Federation continues to help me grow, learn, and best of all, expand my network of colleagues and friends.
