The future of the speaking industry means understanding technology From a better understanding of how we can use Skype for out conference calls, coaching and training, to the future including Holographic speakers beaming in from anywhere live… the future for speakers is going to mean we all need to learn more about what is possible now, and what might become mainstream for us within the next 5-10 years.

I recently bought Garr Reynolds’ excellent new book, The Naked Presenter. I’m an avid reader, so buying books is no big deal, right? So why am I writing about it? Because the buying process was so different than normal. And yet, I think it’s going to become the new normal.
Over half of the population of the United States is more comfortable talking in smaller, more intimate groups than in front of larger crowds. In corporate America, most likely you will be called upon at some point to deliver a speech in front of a group of people. You might have to give a presentation to a group of people whom you do not know. For most of us, even small, familiar audiences can make us nervous. Whether your speech is impromptu or thoroughly planned, make sure you have a main purpose.
Social media can be a waste of time. But it can also be one of the greatest tools you leverage for your business. As an International speaker and currently the #1 Woman Speaker in the World for Internet Marketing, I have spent a great deal of time dissecting social media, and how it applies to a business, or to you as a speaker.
